History of the annual collection of scientific works: This publication is the successor to the periodical collection “Materials to Ukrainian Art Studies”, founded by the M. T. Rylskyi Institute of Art Studies, Folkloristics and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 2002. In 2004, the collection was registered under the name “Ukrainian Art Studies: Materials, Investigations, Reviews” (Certificate of State Registration: Series KB no. 9457 dated December 22, 2004).
Scope: The collection is an interdisciplinary publication covering historical, theoretical, methodological, and epistemological issues in cultural studies, musicology, and ethnomusicology. It features studies on fine, decorative, applied, audiovisual, and performing arts. The journal publishes original research papers, archival materials, field records, book reviews, and overviews of artistic events. The publication includes illustrative materials.
